  • Laura - The daughter of King Linceo of Albania. She is a beautiful and virtuous princess who loves Florante. She is kidnapped by Adolfo, a traitor who wants to usurp the throne. She is rescued by Flerida, a Muslim woman who loves Aladin.
  • Aladin - The son of Sultan Ali-Adab of Persia. He is a courageous and noble Muslim prince who saves Florante from being devoured by lions in the forest. He becomes friends with Florante and tells him his story of how his father took away his beloved Flerida. He later reunites with Flerida and converts to Christianity.
